Story behind the song
It is a dark and cloudy night, but you would have no way to know this in your hotel room because the heavy drapery-like curtains on the windows can't be moved. In fact, the entire room has a heavy over-upholstered stuffiness. There is no telephone in the room, but only the long cloth pull cord to signal that service is required. You pull and a bell can be heard to ring in the distance. Upon signaling, a voice is heard with an odd echo "Room Service, Calling for Room Service." You must then only wait for the approach of the bellboy. It is disconcerting because you are not quite sure what you actually want, but maybe just something to break the solemn stillness of the night and the muffled, trapped feeling you have. But as you wait, you begin to hear the slow approach of the bellboy. With this you have an ominous feeling and begin to wish you had not pulled the bell ... but you wait, and you wait, and the bell boy draws nearer with each minute. Once again you hear the call for room service ... Is it for you or for some other unsuspecting guest in this sad, silent hotel?

Superior ambient sound work here. Rich lush pads that create such a wonderful sound bed. Haunting melody that pierce through exciting the senses. Incredible production with interesting instrumentation. Really enjoyed the journey. (I see room service in a whole new light:):))
